I’ve never been a fan of wallpaper. Or borders. Just give me a painted wall with some really fabulous molding!
And when staging your home for sale, it is really something you need to think about changing, especially if it is dated, very taste specific, or in bad shape.
Picture what the difference would be in this MLS picture if it had been presented on the interent with neutral, painted walls ~

Oh, & think about addressing the mismatched lighting. And, don’t get me started on the subject of carpeting in bathroom spaces.
Several weeks ago on the Today Show, there was segment that included some Q&A between Al Roker & Real Estate expert, Barbara Corcoran. Here is what was said when discussing the last home:
“I noticed there were lots of borders & wallpaper. Is wall paper a turn-on or a turn-off?” Al Roker
“No one loves someone else’s wallpaper You should have painted walls in any house you are trying to sell” Barbara Corcoran
I totally agree! Who looks forward to removing someone else’s wallpaper.
