staging ~ fridge art

by lin ellis on July 2, 2009

Most homes have some form of “fridge art” ~ a very personal collection of photos, magnets, menus, appointments, reminders, lists, etc. This is super fine for living, but is a serious no-no when selling.

I love my random musings ~

I am sure that you spent a little time looking at each fridge door. As would a prospective buyer!

So, there are many reasons to remove fridge art when you are selling. It will be perceived as clutter, it is too personal & it distracts the buyer from fully focusing on the features of your kitchen.

If your fridge art is something you want to recreate in your next home, then take some photos of each section to help you remember the placement, include them in your prepacking boxes & store them away for your move.

You do not want your home to be remembered as the place with all the stuff covering the refrigerator.
